Hello, I’m Josie, a BACP-registered therapist with a Master’s in Creative Approaches to Therapy, as well as a qualified yoga and mindfulness teacher. My work is centred on supporting people in strengthening their relationship with themselves, others, and the natural world—key foundations for mental and emotional wellbeing.
With a background as an experienced teacher, I have worked extensively within the education system, supporting children, parents, and school communities. I help families improve relationships, navigate challenges, and build emotional resilience, while also working with schools to integrate mental health awareness, mindfulness, and creative approaches into learning environments.
Beyond my work in education, I also support adults in reconnecting with themselves, particularly those experiencing stress, anxiety, life transitions, or a sense of disconnection.
My approach is integrative and person-centred, drawing from a wide range of therapeutic tools, including talking therapy, mindfulness, movement, creative expression, and nature-based practices. Whether you’re seeking healing, clarity, or personal growth, I offer a compassionate, supportive space to explore your experiences.
With experience working across a broad range of areas, I tailor each session to meet individual needs, ensuring a holistic and meaningful approach to therapy.
Life can pull us in so many directions that we lose sight of who we really are. Living Nature Therapy is about coming back to that essential part of you—the part that feels at home in yourself, connected, and at ease. Just like nature moves through seasons, we all experience shifts and changes, and sometimes we need space to pause, reflect, and realign.
I offer therapy for adults, children, and parents, creating a space where you can explore whatever is coming up for you—whether it’s anxiety, stress, self-doubt, relationship challenges, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself. My approach is warm, creative, and person-centred, which means there’s no “one-size-fits-all” method. Sessions might involve talking, mindfulness, movement, journaling, or even nature-based practices—whatever feels most supportive for you.
A big part of my work is also supporting parents and families. Parenting is one of the most beautiful and challenging journeys, and it’s easy to feel lost in it. I work with parents who want to build stronger, more connected relationships with their children, especially when navigating neurodiversity, emotional struggles, or difficulties with the school system.
I am based in Stockport and offer a flexible approach to therapy, providing sessions in a way that best suits your needs:
