About Me
Hi, I’m Josie — a qualified integrative therapist, former teacher, mother, and someone who knows what it’s like to rebuild from the inside out.
My work is rooted in the belief that healing happens slowly, gently, and in connection. After years of working in education, I retrained in psychotherapy and began exploring how nature, creativity, and presence can support emotional wellbeing in a more honest, embodied way.
I offer therapy that meets you where you are — without judgement, without rush. Whether you're holding grief, navigating burnout, feeling disconnected, or simply longing for space to breathe again, you are welcome here.
My approach is intuitive and person-centred, blending talking therapy with somatic awareness, mindfulness, creative tools, and a connection to the natural world.
This work is about coming home to yourself — in all your mess, your beauty, your truth.
And it’s my privilege to walk alongside you as you do.
How I can help
I offer gentle, integrative therapy and holistic support for adults, children (age 10+), and parents. My work centres around creating a calm, compassionate space where you can explore whatever is present — whether that’s grief, anxiety, burnout, identity shifts, or the quiet ache of feeling lost.
We work at your pace, following what feels right for you. Sessions may include talking therapy, somatic and mindfulness practices, journalling, or even nature-based approaches — all shaped to support your healing in a way that feels grounding and real.
Therapy for Life’s Turning Points
Whether you're navigating grief, anxiety, burnout, or a shift in identity, therapy offers a safe space to gently process what’s rising.
We slow things down, explore what’s underneath the surface, and listen for what your body and mind are asking for.
There’s no pressure to perform or fix — just space to be with what’s real and begin to feel more grounded again.
Sessions can be in-person, online, or outside in nature — always shaped around what you need most.
Integrative &
Holistic Support
I work with the whole person — not just the thoughts, but the emotions held in the body, the patterns shaped by experience, and the desire to live more in alignment.
Alongside talking therapy, I may draw on tools such as somatic practices, nervous system regulation, breathwork, journalling, or gentle lifestyle and wellbeing coaching. For some clients, we integrate Reiki or movement-based practices to support balance and calm.
Everything is optional, always collaborative — and grounded in safety, trust, and curiosity.
Families, Parents & Children Support
I support parents and young people (age 10+) navigating emotional struggles, overwhelm, neurodivergence, and school-related challenges.
Sessions create space for understanding, regulation, and deeper connection — whether you're seeking support for your child, yourself, or both
Parents come to me when they feel burnt out, overwhelmed, or unsure how best to support their child — especially in the face of neurodivergence, emotional sensitivity, or school-related stress.
Together, we build calm, confidence, and more attuned relationships at home.
This isn’t about fixing or changing who you are — it’s about creating space to explore, reconnect, and find a way of being that feels true, steady, and yours. If that resonates, I’d love to walk alongside you.
My Location
I am based in Tameside and offer a flexible approach to therapy, providing sessions in a way that best suits your needs:
Fees
I offer a sliding scale to help make therapy more accessible.
I'm currently in the early stages of rebuilding my private practice, and I'm offering a small number of introductory sessions at £35 to make therapy more accessible while I grow.
I also offer a sliding scale, which means you can pay what feels manageable within a suggested range. If you're on a lower income, a student, or navigating financial uncertainty, you're welcome to choose a reduced rate. If you're able to pay the standard fee, your contribution helps sustain this offering for others.
Please feel free to reach out — we can explore what feels fair and supportive for both of us.
